Advancing International Academic Careers: Meeting with Dr. Damian Syjczak, UNESCO Chair research team member

On March 19, Dr. Damian Syjczak ((Deputy Director of NAWA, assistant professor at the Warsaw School of Economics) was appointed to the research team of the UNESCO Chair for Sustainable Social Development, which operates within the Doctoral School at the University of Szczecin. On April 22, another meeting in the “Meetings with Practitioners” series took place, organized by the Doctoral School, with Dr. Damian Syjczak as the guest speaker.

During the meeting, the doctoral students had the opportunity to learn about career prospects for young researchers in the context of international opportunities and NAWA programs. The Director presented a number of interesting initiatives supporting academic mobility and opportunities for internationalizing one’s research career.

This meeting held particular significance for the UNESCO Chair, as it strengthened its engagement with international academic networks and institutions supporting researcher mobility. Moreover, it contributed to advancing the Chair’s mission of promoting sustainable social development through knowledge exchange, capacity building, and the internationalization of doctoral education.
